The Menéndez and García families created Montecristo cigars in 1935, after years of collaboration between the two Asturians, Alonso Menéndez and José García, they gained great recognition thanks to some cigars called Particulares , these cigars have achieved success in the local Cuban market for their extraordinary quality. The two went one step further, and with the introduction of Montecristo cigars, they allied and jumped onto the international stage, becoming famous in one fell swoop. The brand's cigars are derived from the famous novel "The Count of Monte Cristo" by Alejandro Dumas, one of the most popular novels of Cuban Cigar Factory.
